Graduate Visa Route

International students in the UK may be eligible to apply under the Graduate route to extend their stay for up to two years after graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or three years if studying for a PhD.

Students must demonstrate a clean and compliant immigration record and have obtained an undergraduate degree or higher from a UK higher education institution in order to be eligible.

Graduates will have two (or three) years to look for and accept employment; there will not be any restrictions on the kind of work or degree of expertise required during this period. This includes transferring to the Skilled Worker route and using this time to obtain a sponsored job.
